About Us

Our Vision

We believe that reducing response times is one of the most important steps in mitigating damages that are caused by fire.  We continue to work to improve emergency response times through the ongoing development and adoption of OPEN ACCESS™. SAVING TIME SAVES LIVES.

Our Story

In 1979, OPEN ACCESS™ was born out of the concept of saving time saves lives.  We saw that there was an opportunity to reduce the damage a fire can cause by improving response time through faster notification.  After thorough due diligence and prototyping, OPEN ACCESS™ was officially launched in 1999.

Through OPEN ACCESS™, fire alarm signals are electronically re-transmitted directly into the Fire Department’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.  This not only saves a significant amount of time in getting help on the way (an average of two full minutes proven in several case studies), but the potential for error is also greatly reduced over verbally relaying information.
